From your first note to clubs back in the bag.
Every request is read by the person who will actually do the work — there is no call-centre step and no automated quote. The more detail you give up front, the more useful the first reply is: club make and model, what feels wrong or what you want changed, your height and glove size if you have never been measured, and whether you need the clubs back by a specific date.
1. You send the request
Use the form above, email, or leave a voicemail. Email is fastest — most notes are answered within one business day, and weekend requests are usually picked up Monday morning.
2. Technical assessment
We reply with what the work involves, what it will cost, and how long it will take. If your description points to a different underlying problem than the one you named, we say so before you commit to anything.
3. Drop-off, hand-off or mail-in
Local clubs are dropped off by appointment or handed off at your course. From further out, ship them in — we confirm receipt and photograph everything before work begins.
4. Work, build sheet, return
Clubs are measured before and after, and the numbers go on a written build sheet you keep. Payment is settled once the work is approved and finished.
Answers before you write.
- How long will my clubs be gone?
- Regripping, loft and lie work, and single-club reshafts usually turn around in two to four business days. A full-set blueprint, or any job where a shaft, adaptor or specific grip has to be ordered, runs closer to a week. If a part is already on the shelf, rush work is often possible — ask when you book.
- Do I get a price before the work starts?
- Always. You receive a written estimate covering labour and parts, and nothing begins until you approve it. If a club is opened up and the situation differs from the drop-off note — a snapped tip inside a hosel, a head already bent to its limit — we stop and call rather than spending your money on a guess.
- Can you work on clubs I did not buy from you?
- Yes — that is most of the bench. Used sets bought online, hand-me-downs, and pro-shop builds that never quite felt right all come through regularly. We measure whatever arrives and tell you honestly when a club is not worth the repair cost.
- Do you ship clubs, or is this local only?
- Both. Local players in Mount Pleasant, Charleston, Daniel Island, West Ashley, James Island, Summerville and the surrounding Lowcountry drop off by appointment or hand clubs over at their course. Everyone else mails in; we send packing guidance with your confirmation and return the set with the same documentation a local client gets.
- Is there a storefront I can walk into?
- No — this is an appointment-only workshop, not a retail counter. The drop-off address is confirmed when your appointment is booked, so someone is always there to receive your clubs and go over the job with you in person.
- What if I do not know what I need?
- Describe the symptom instead of the fix. “My 7-iron digs and the wedges feel light” is more useful than a guess at a service name. Diagnosing the cause is part of the assessment, and it costs nothing to ask.
