This wedge has been thoroughly inspected on the bench at NiceDivot. Before it leaves our Mount Pleasant shop, we can readily adjust the loft and lie angles, alter the finished playing length, fit your preferred grip, or reshaft it to match your exact bag setup.
Bounce — the angle between the leading edge and the sole — is the specification that decides whether a wedge helps or hurts you. Higher bounce resists digging and suits steeper swings and soft, sandy Lowcountry conditions. Lower bounce sits closer to the ground and suits shallow, sweeping players and firm turf. Sole grind then fine-tunes how the club behaves when you open the face for a flop or square it up for a full shot.
Wedges wear faster than any other club because they are struck out of sand, and sand is abrasive. Grooves round off, and face milling disappears. When we inspect a wedge, we look at spin-relevant wear rather than cosmetics, because a scratched wedge with sharp grooves is a far better buy than a clean-looking one whose face is polished smooth.
Loft gapping across your wedges should be roughly four to six degrees. Two wedges four degrees apart give you predictable distance control; two wedges nine degrees apart leave you inventing half-shots under pressure. Tell us what your other wedges are and we will confirm this one fits the ladder before you commit — and we can bend loft a degree or two either way to close a gap cleanly.
NiceDivot is a repair-first workshop, so inventory is a by-product of bench work rather than the main business. Items arrive as trade-ins, customer clear-outs, and shop builds. Before anything appears here it gets cleaned, inspected for structural damage, and measured — length, loft and lie where applicable, swing weight, and grip condition. Anything that fails inspection is repaired or scrapped, not photographed from a forgiving angle.
That is also why the condition language above is deliberately unglamorous. "Good" means it has been played and it shows; "excellent" means light cosmetic wear with performance surfaces intact. We describe the flaws we found so that what arrives matches what you read, because a returned club costs us more than an honest listing ever will.
